Today, Tennis Canada is proud to launch its Feel Tennis summer campaign to promote the 2022 National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal and Toronto from August 5 to 14!
Building on the fact that the full edition of the tournament will be held this year after being cancelled in 2020 and organized at reduced capacity in 2021, the campaign gives fans a glimpse of the full experience of the National Bank Open. Featuring Félix Auger-Aliassime, Bianca Andreescu and Leylah Annie Fernandez, and created in collaboration with international advertising agency Sid Lee, it relies on the power of emotions to help viewers connect with the entire range of feelings they can experience at the National Bank Open. The campaign highlights all the excitement of the matches and takes a look at the other elements—like the shows, activities, food and atmosphere—that make the sporting event the only one of its kind in Canada.

“Tennis Canada was very proud to announce that the National Bank Open would be back this year in its regular format and enable all the tennis fans who visit our sites in Montréal and Toronto to Feel Tennis like they used to,” said Anne Belliveau, Senior Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer at Tennis Canada. “In 2022, it was important for us to turn the spotlight on the tournament’s re-emergence so fans could reconnect with it. Sid Lee did a fantastic job of bringing to life the thrills experienced by our fans, our volunteers and even our employees, year after year at our tournaments and we want to offer the creative team our heartfelt thanks for this sensational campaign.”
“From the shared feeling of anticipation in the air, to the energetic sound of the first ball serve, there’s no comparison to watching a live match and it’s this revitalizing sensation that we wanted to convey through this campaign,” says Laura Willig, Account Supervisor at Sid Lee. “We focused on the intangible feeling that being at the National Bank Open gives. It is a complete tennis celebration with all of your senses.”
