Things are heating up at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers! It’s the quarterfinals, and they promise to be exciting.

Nick and Félix up first

It should be a fun Friday for the fans who were lucky enough to get tickets for the afternoon session of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers. Those who won’t be on site can still catch all the action on TV.

At noon, the ATP stars will take to Centre Court at IGA Stadium for the quarterfinals of the Masters 1000 tournament.

Nick Kyrgios, arguably the best player in the world this summer, will get the tennis balls rolling in the early match. The enigmatic Australian, who netted the singles and doubles titles in Washington last week, will have the task of disposing of Hubert Hurkacz (8) of Poland. Emotions and unbelievable shots guaranteed.

At around 2 p.m., local hero Félix Auger-Aliassime will fight his quarterfinal battle. He’s been playing fantastic tennis and will have to keep the momentum going to get the upper hand over the highest ranked player left in the draw, Casper Ruud (4) of Norway.

It won’t be easy, but a little help from his fans and some solid serves could make all the difference.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., a couple of unexpected players will fight it out to join the final four.

Daniel Evans of Great Britain will tussle with Tommy Paul of the US, and the very interesting Jack Draper will try to outplay Pablo Carreno Busta, who’s closed things out quickly all week long.

Rogers Court will feature some fantastically quick duels in doubles, and everyone’s invited.

Our tips for an unforgettable experience

Is it your first day at IGA Stadium? We’ve got a few tips for you. No matter which session you attend, arrive at least 30 minutes early to make the most of the facilities and activities on site.
