On Saturday, you could feel the energy rising as fast as the mercury on the first day of the qualifying event of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal!

Moment of truth

Late Sunday afternoon, we’ll know the names of the seven warriors who successfully battled through the two qualifying rounds of the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Montréal.

Starting at 11 a.m., the survivors will fight it out for a coveted spot in the main draw of the Masters 1000.

Twenty-year-old Gabriel Diallo will start the day off on Court No.9 against Hugo Gaston of France. There’s no doubt the Montrealer will be counting on the support of the home crowd.

At the same time on Centre Court, the elegant Fabio Fognini of Italy will attempt to enter a stage with which he’s much more familiar. To get there, he’ll have to overcome a major obstacle in Daniel Altmaier of Germany. On Court 5, Benoît Paire of France will take on the surprising Marc-Andrea Huesler of Switzerland, while Taro Daniel of Japan tries to overpower Arthur Rinderknech.

Around 1 p.m., Centre Court will be the stage of an exciting match between the top seed Marcos Giron of the US and Alexei Popyrin of Australia.

On Court 9, another Frenchman, Adrian Mannarino, will go head-to-head against Soowoo Kwon of South Korea. Finally, Quentin Halys—the fourth member of the French quartet—will close things out with Jack Draper of Great Britain.

Last day of the IGA  Family Weekend

This Sunday, grab a coffee at the Nespresso terrace at IGA Stadium on the last day of the IGA Family Weekend. Access is free for everyone!

So many activities are in store. Starting at 11 a.m., be impressed by your favourite ATP players on the practice courts or attend a multidisciplinary dance performance by Louise Lapierre Danse on the Loto-Québec stage. At noon, head over to Court 2 for a new challenge: wheelchair tennis with Parasport Québec—a parasport that’s becoming more and more popular!

At 2 p.m., join us for a very special match on Court 2, as the ATP players lace up their cleats and take on CF Montréal stars. If Saturday’s ball hockey game is any indication, the soccer showdown is not to be missed! Need a break? Flow through a free yoga class on the Loto-Québec stage at 2 p.m.

At 3 p.m. bring your favorite tennis gear to the Loto-Québec stage and have it signed by an ATP player. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet a tennis pro! And don’t leave too early: we’ll be drawing prizes right after the autograph session.

If you’re in the mood for some action and entertainment this Sunday, you’ll love the last day of the IGA Family Weekend. See you there!
